1. About us
1.1 We are NAC (Domestic Appliances) Limited (trading as NAC) (NAC, we, us, our). We are a company registered in England and Wales under company number 07531907. Our registered office address is at 4 Calder Close, Calder Park, Wakefield, West Yorkshire WF4 3BA.

2. These terms
2.1 These terms apply to any order you make on our website or by telephone. Please read these terms carefully before you place any order with us, as they set out important information about your and our rights and obligations. If you call NAC to order a repair, we reasonably assume that you have read and understood these terms.
2.2 All of these terms are important. However there are some we particularly want to draw your attention to which are highlighted in bold.
2.3 You must be at least 18 years old and a resident of the UK to place an order with us.
2.4 We may make changes to these terms at any time. However, the terms which apply to your order will be those in force at the time you submitted your order to us.
2.5 Please print out or save a copy of these terms and any emails from us for your records. These terms are only available in English.
3. The NAC repair network
3.1 We have a UK-wide network of professional repairers. That network is made up of the following members:
3.2 Tier 1 - NAC Employed
These are fully branded engineers that are employed on a full-time basis by NAC as our employees. Where repairs are carried out by NAC Employed engineers, your contract for the supply of the repairs is with us and subject to these terms. That means, NAC will be directly responsible for the administration of all aspects of the repair, including spare parts, payments and providing our Repair Guarantee.
3.3 Tier 2 - NAC Direct
These are engineers that are self-employed but commit to an agreed amount of time to NAC per day. NAC Direct engineers are not employed by NAC and do not have employment contracts with us but have committed to working to the same standard as NAC Employed engineers. Where repairs are carried out by NAC Direct engineers, your contract for the supply of the repairs is with us and subject to these terms. That means, NAC will be directly responsible for the administration of all aspects of the repair, including spare parts, payments and providing our Repair Guarantee.
3.4 Tier 3 - NAC Service Partners (SP / Network Engineers)
These are engineers that are self-employed and take work from NAC on an ad-hoc basis. That means, NAC Service Partners are not employed by NAC and we have no control over the repair progression or work performed by them. Where repairs are carried out by NAC Service Partners, NAC only acts as an introducer to introduce you to the relevant NAC Service Partner. Where repairs are carried out by Service Partners, your contract for the supply of the repairs is with the NAC Service Partner we introduced you to and not us. That means, the NAC Service Partner we introduced you to is directly responsible for the administration of all aspects of the repair, including spare parts, payments and providing any repair guarantee. You should deal with them directly if you have any questions, queries or issues relating to the repair. That NAC Service Partner may have their own terms and conditions which apply to their repairs which you should request from them.
3.5 Our use of NAC Service Partners - an introductory service
Depending on your location and appliance type, we will determine whether the repair can be offered, booked and completed by a NAC Employed or NAC Direct engineer or whether we need to introduce you to a NAC Service Partner.
3.6 If you are in an area where we do not have a NAC Employed or NAC Direct engineer, we will try to introduce you to a NAC Service Partner who is listed on our network. Each NAC Service Partner pays us a commission to book the repair on their behalf. If you are introduced to a NAC Service Partner, we will provide you with the relevant NAC Service Partner's details when your repair has been accepted by a NAC Service Partner. We do that so you are fully aware of who will be contacting you to discuss any fault, related charges and to confirm any provisional appointment that has been made.
3.7 If you choose to accept a visit offer from a NAC Service Partner that we have introduced, you will deal with them directly throughout the repair process. NAC will never ask for payment in instances where you have been introduced to a NAC Service Partner and in turn, if you have any complaints about the NAC Service Partner that we introduced you to, then those complaints and any claims for reimbursements should be made to the NAC Service Partner directly.
4. Booking a repair
4.1 Booking a repair by telephone
When you initially contact NAC to enquire about a repair, we will reasonably assume that you have read our terms and conditions, checked that you are in a covered location and your appliance type is one that our network can repair. If you are in one of our covered areas and your appliance type is one that our network in your area can repair, then we will quote you a Service Charge for an engineer visit. This will vary depending on where you live, what appliance you need repairing and engineer availability in your area. Once the offered Service Charge has been accepted by you, we will then proceed to take all the required information to book the engineer visit and then allocate the visit to a member of the NAC repair network.
4.2 Booking a repair online
When you enter your details onto our online booking form, our system will check the appliance type and location and then display a Service Charge for an engineer visit. If you choose to proceed with the order, you will need to tick the box to confirm you have read and accepted these terms and conditions and our system will then confirm your booking request. Once your online booking has been reviewed and allocated to a network engineer someone will contact you to confirm visit details.
4.3 Gas Appliances
Faults on gas or dual fuel kitchen appliances (such as cookers, ovens and hobs) may be caused by electrical, mechanical or cosmetic failures, rather than requiring gas work to fix the fault. When you book a repair with us for a gas or dual fuel kitchen appliance, we may therefore initially allocate your repair to an engineer that is not Gas Safe Registered. The purpose of this visit is to attempt to determine what is needed to fix the fault. Where it is identified that gas work is required on the appliance and we did not provide a Gas Safe Registered engineer during the initial visit, we will either:
cancel the repair and no Service Charge is payable by you; or
re-assign your repair to a Gas Safe Registered engineer. You will not have to pay an additional Service Charge if we re-assign your repair.
4.4 In each case, if the repair is cancelled by you or us in these circumstances and you have already paid the Service Charge, we will refund it to you.

4.6 Please note because online booking quotations are issued at the point of enquiry, quotations may change if the engineer originally assigned can no longer attend your repair and we have to reallocate your repair booking to another engineer. In these instances, we will contact you to let you know of any price changes before reallocating your repair to another engineer. If you do not want to proceed with the order following the price change, we will cancel your booking.
4.7 Please ensure that all information you provide us with, whether over the telephone or using our online system, is correct. Should the address, appliance, or fault details be incorrect, we reserve the right to charge you for the engineer's callout Service Charge and/or not to carry out a repair.
4.8 Customer information and incorrect booking details
4.8.1 When booking a repair, the customer is responsible for ensuring that all information provided to NAC is accurate and complete. This includes, but is not limited to, the appliance type, fuel type (e.g. gas or electric), model, and whether the appliance is domestic or commercial. NAC relies on this information to allocate appropriately qualified engineers and schedule appointments.
4.8.2 Where an engineer attends and is unable to carry out the repair due to materially incorrect or incomplete information provided at the time of booking, NAC reserves the right to retain the Service Charge to cover the cost of attendance, including engineer time, travel, and administrative costs.
4.8.3 This includes, but is not limited to:
booking an electric appliance where the appliance is gas;
booking a domestic appliance where the appliance is commercial;
providing incorrect or incomplete appliance details which prevent the engineer from carrying out the repair.
4.8.4 In such circumstances, a new booking and Service Charge may be required if the customer wishes to proceed with a repair.
4.8.5 NAC will act reasonably in determining whether the information provided was materially incorrect and whether it prevented the repair from being carried out.
4.9 We have the right to reject any order for any reason.
5. Speed of service delivery - initial visit
5.1 NAC aims to offer same day / next day appointments. Same day / next day appointments are classed as callout within 24 / 48 hours from the point of initial booking. During busy times, times when engineers are on annual leave or on sick leave and in some rural locations, it may be that we cannot achieve that target. If NAC cannot offer an appointment within 24 / 48 hours, you can cancel the repair at no charge. If this is the case, you might be asked if you would like to provisionally book just in case you cannot find anyone else to attend sooner.
5.2 We will do all that we reasonably can to undertake the repairs at the time(s) and date(s) agreed with you. If there might be a delay before we can start or restart the repairs, we will let you know as soon as reasonably possible. However, we are not liable to you for any losses you incur as a result of any delay caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control (for example, severe weather, accidents, unpredictable traffic delays or restrictions imposed during pandemics and epidemics).
5.3 By arranging an engineer visit, you agree to be present at the agreed time and date. If you are not available for any reason, please contact us as soon as possible. If you are not at home when the engineer visits at the agreed time, we may charge you for the full Service Charge.
5.4 We are not liable to you for any losses you incur where the repair services are delayed or cannot be performed because you fail to make the house or location where the appliance is located available to us, or fail to prepare the location as required for us to provide the repairs.
6. Routine servicing
6.1 NAC offers Routine Servicing appointments on selected appliance types including, but not limited to, washing machines, tumble dryers, electric ovens, electric cookers, and dishwashers. Routine Servicing is a preventative maintenance visit designed to assess general condition, performance, and safety, rather than to diagnose or repair faults.
6.2 During a Routine Servicing visit, the attending engineer will carry out a standardised set of checks and tests as detailed on the applicable Routine Servicing checklist, which may include (where relevant):
visual inspection of exterior and accessible components;
functional and operational checks;
basic performance and cycle testing;
visual inspection of hoses, seals, filters, vents, and electrical connections;
door seal, drum, and filter checks and cleaning (if accessible);
advice to the customer on general appliance care and maintenance.
6.3 Routine Servicing visits are available only for appliances in full working order. If an appliance is found to be faulty or develops a fault during the visit, no repair will be carried out. The engineer will record the findings, and NAC may provide a quotation for a follow-up repair visit if appropriate.
6.4 Routine Servicing visits do not include, and the engineer will not undertake:
fault diagnosis or fault repair;
replacement or fitting of any parts;
removal or disassembly of appliance components beyond the standard servicing checks.
6.5 NAC shall not be held liable for any loss, damage, or subsequent fault that may occur following a Routine Servicing visit. The service is a basic inspection and does not guarantee ongoing performance, reliability, or fault-free operation of the appliance.
6.6 Routine Servicing visits are expressly excluded from NAC's standard Repair Guarantee. As no repair work or part replacement is undertaken during these visits, no guarantee of performance, longevity, or defect rectification is provided.
6.7 By booking a Routine Servicing visit, the customer accepts that this service is provided on an as seen basis and acknowledges that it is not a guaranteed product or service outcome.
7. Ordering required spare parts
7.1 During our visit we will inspect your appliance to try and determine what parts are required. Once we have done so, our target timelines are as follows:
7.1.1 where parts needed are in stock at our suppliers, we will aim to return to complete your repair within 28 days from the date of payment by you for the part; and
7.1.2 where parts are out of stock at our suppliers, we will be advised by our suppliers what the delay time is expected to be before we can source the necessary part. We will notify you that this is the case at the point we provide you with a quotation for the required spare part. We will aim to return to complete your repair within 7 days of the date we receive the part.
8. What is included in the service charge?
8.1 The Service Charge that you pay includes the engineer's initial callout and all the time needed on the initial visit to carry out full diagnostic testing resulting in a quotation for spare parts or ideally, a first visit completed repair where the installation is not at fault. Any spare parts that might be required to complete a repair are not included in the Service Charge which we will give you a quote for separately.
8.2 The Service Charges do not include any additional work required to gain access to your appliance or any costs associated with making-good or redecorating.
8.3 The Service Charge is payable either at the point of booking or directly to the engineer on the first visit to your property.
8.4 If an engineer attends and diagnoses a fault which then leads to the appliance being deemed BER (Beyond Economical Repair) or unrepairable for any reason, the Service Charge is payable. NAC does not offer free callouts or free estimates.
8.5 If an engineer attends and diagnoses a fault which then leads to an additional repair and/or spare parts quotation, the Service Charge is payable whether you decide to proceed or not. NAC does not offer free callouts or free estimates.
8.6 If an engineer attends and discovers that the appliance is working normally at that time, or if any fault is related to a supply of power, water or drainage, then the engineer will advise you of next steps. Where no fault found, power, water and drainage supply issues have been identified, then that is considered a diagnosis and the Service Charge is payable. NAC does not offer free callouts or free estimates.
8.7 Please note, if there has been an error on our site regarding the Service Charge, we will try to contact you using the contact details you provided when you placed your order. We will give you the option to re-confirm your order at the correct Service Charge price or to cancel your order. If we are unable to contact you, we will treat the order as cancelled.
8.8 Our card payment provider will store the card details you use to pay for the initial Service Charge on file for cases where payments may decline, so we can re-try at a later date and for any additional charges that may become payable by you. Please see clauses 9 (Our Repair Guarantee), 11.2 (Spare parts quotations), 11.5 (Obsolete and parts that are no longer available), 11.9 (Self-fitted spare parts) and 11.11 (Out of stock spare parts) for details on those additional charges.
9. Our repair guarantee
9.1 All repairs completed by NAC directly (i.e. where a repair that has been completed by a NAC Employee or NAC Direct engineer and not a NAC Service Partner) come with a 3 month (90 day) labour guarantee and unless excluded below, either a limited 3 month or full 12 month guarantee on spare parts if they have been provided and fitted by NAC (our Repair Guarantee). That means during those periods we guarantee to repair or replace any faulty parts we have supplied, or fix any faulty work that we have done. This does not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, if applicable, and any laws that replace it. If you want independent advice about your rights, you can speak to Citizens Advice or Trading Standards.
9.2 Any repair guarantees for repairs completed by NAC Service Partners vary depending on the Service Partner. However the minimum term should be 3 months (90 days). You should speak to your designated NAC Service Partner about the repair guarantees they offer.
9.3 Please note, whilst we make every effort to give our customers satisfaction, after we diagnose a fault we cannot guarantee that other faults may not develop in the near future or even on the same day. The breakdown of other parts may give rise to symptoms identical to those which were present prior to our repair/service.
9.4 Our Repair Guarantee is to ensure that the repair has been completed correctly. Should you report an issue following a repair because you believe that the repair has not been successful, NAC will determine, acting reasonably, the most appropriate method of assessing the reported issue. This may include a return visit, alternative engineer attendance, remote assessment, or requesting supporting evidence or independent inspection.
9.5 If the subsequent fault is determined to relate to work carried out during the previous visit, NAC will rectify the issue at no further charge.
9.6 NAC's assessment and determination of whether a fault relates to previous work will be made acting reasonably, based on the information available at the time of assessment.
9.7 In order to assess any reported issue, the customer must provide reasonable cooperation, including allowing access where required or complying with reasonable alternative assessment methods proposed by NAC. Where reasonable access or cooperation is not provided, NAC shall not be considered to be in breach of its obligations, and the Repair Guarantee may be void in respect of that issue.
9.8 If, following assessment, NAC determines that the reported issue relates to a new fault that has developed, or a separate fault that is not related to the original issue, a new repair may be created and a new Service Charge will become payable. In these circumstances, NAC may automatically charge the new Service Charge to the card used to pay for the initial Service Charge.
9.9 If, following assessment, NAC determines that the appliance is working to specification, a new repair may be created and a new Service Charge will become payable. In these circumstances, NAC may automatically charge the new Service Charge to the card used to pay for the initial Service Charge.
9.10 There are some repairs that are excluded from our Repair Guarantee. These are:
a repair carried out where a blockage has been removed from the appliance itself or external pipework that affects water drainage
a repair to a refrigeration unit where a refrigerant recharge has taken place, such as a re-gas or a compressor replacement. Please see Refrigeration Re-Gassing for further details
a repair carried out where we have used spare parts supplied by you (i.e. where we have not sourced the required spare parts from our suppliers)
a repair carried out on a domestic appliance in a commercial setting
9.11 The following parts are subject to a limited 3 month (90 day) Repair Guarantee:
oven / grill / hob elements
washing machine / dishwasher elements
dishwasher heat pumps
microwave magnetrons.
9.12 The following parts are also excluded from our Repair Guarantee
door parts, including handles, switches, catches, locks, glass and fixtures
hoses / door seals / seals of any kind
switches / switches of any kind, including thermostats
drive belts / pulleys
cosmetic parts including knobs, facias, trims and decor surrounds
drum lifters / paddles
lamps / bulbs / LEDs
internal furniture including shelves, door shelves and baskets
motor brushes / armatures / stators
drain pumps where failure has been caused by foreign body damage
PCB's (Printed Circuit Boards) / Electronic Modules / Inverters
refrigeration regasses
drum bearings, seals and tanks.
9.13 Our Repair Guarantee also does not apply where a problem arises as a result of:
fair wear and tear, improper use, neglect, accident, or other failure on your part to operate and properly maintain the appliance
any repairs or alterations to the appliance carried out by you or another third party
use of the appliance otherwise than in accordance with the user instructions
fuses requiring replacement (except where they are damaged due to our negligence).
9.14 The customer's entitlement to any remedy under this Repair Guarantee is conditional upon NAC being given a reasonable opportunity to assess the appliance and, where appropriate, rectify any issue.
9.15 Such assessment may be carried out by an NAC engineer or through alternative reasonable methods as determined by NAC.
9.16 Where a third party or independent engineer has attended without NAC first being given a reasonable opportunity to assess the appliance, the Repair Guarantee may be void in respect of that issue. NAC will not reimburse third party service fees or refund previous repair charges in such circumstances.
10. Refrigeration re-gassing
10.1 Our Repair Guarantee does not apply to any repair on a refrigeration product where a system re-gas has been carried out.
10.2 As refrigerant is a liquid / gas and not a physical product and most of the pipework that carries refrigerant will be built into the product lining which will be inaccessible, it will be impossible for our engineers to fully inspect all the pipework and joints.
10.3 In instances where a repair has been allocated to a NAC Employed engineer and where the engineer has identified a necessary re-gas, we follow a strict process. The engineer will in the first instance:
attach a line tap and evacuate any refrigerant left in the system; and
then attach a vacuum pump and carry out a full, 20 minute vacuum then a 2 minute leak test.
10.4 If the system passes the vacuum test, we reasonably assume that the system should be sound and that a re-gas should be successful. You will then be offered the re-gas and be fully advised by us about the extra cost involved in performing the re-gas and notified that our Repair Guarantee will not apply to the re-gas. You are then free to decide whether to proceed or not. If you decide to proceed, then we will note the job internally and record that you have been made aware our Repair Guarantee will not apply to the re-gas. The engineer will then carry out the re-gas.
10.5 If your system fails the initial vacuum test, we will not offer the re-gas and instead, after testing all visible pipework and joints for leaks, advise you that the appliance is unrepairable.
11. Spare parts
11.1 Spare part identification
In order for us to obtain the correct spare part from our suppliers, we need the full and specific appliance data from a rating plate on the appliance. This information will include the full model number, serial number and where applicable, any factory / product codes. Due to the wide variants of parts for even the same model machines, without this information in full, we may not be able to identify any parts required and therefore will not be able to continue with a repair. In instances where we cannot identify spare parts needed to complete a repair, the Service Charge is non-refundable. NAC will either call you or write to you via email in this instance advising you that we cannot source parts and ask you to contact the manufacturer as the appliance might have been registered for warranty previously so they would have a record of model and serial numbers. They then may be able to give you that data. If this is the case, please contact us with the model details you have been given from the manufacturer and we can try to locate the parts required. In circumstances where we still cannot identify parts due to the lack of appliance model data, the Service Charge remains payable and no refund will be made.
11.2 Spare parts quotations
As you may still have some limited functionality of your appliance when a spare part might be required to permanently rectify a fault or put the appliance back to a fully working condition, any quotation given for spare parts is valid for 7 days from the date of issue. Once 7 days has passed, NAC will need to re-attend your property to inspect the appliance before ordering any parts. If NAC has to re-attend, NAC will charge a further £55+VAT (£66 including VAT) callout charge for the inspection. This is because continued use of an appliance that may be waiting on a spare part replacement may cause further issues to the appliance. In instances where a further callout charge is payable in these circumstances, NAC may automatically charge that additional amount to the card that was used by you to pay for the initial Service Charge.
11.3 Specifically Ordered Parts
Our network of engineers carries a selection of commonly used spare parts. Given the vast range of parts for all appliance types and makes / models, it is impossible for engineers to carry everything. Therefore there may be instances where parts will need to be specially ordered for you. Specifically Ordered Parts means that NAC does not stock the required part and therefore has to buy it specifically at your request for your repair. If we need Specifically Ordered Parts to undertake the repair, you will be advised of the cost of those Specifically Ordered Parts and an estimated lead time for us to acquire them before we can continue with your repair. All Specifically Ordered Parts need to be paid for prior to NAC placing the part order. Please note, as Specifically Ordered Parts are bespoke to you they are non-returnable and non-refundable once they have been paid for by you unless they are faulty in which case we will replace any faulty part free of charge whilst it is covered by our Repair Guarantee.
11.4 Fix a fault to find a fault
In instances where an engineer determines by means of testing or examining in detail that a part is faulty, all efforts will be made to further investigate the appliance and identify any other faulty part that might be needed. In some instances, an engineer might need to rectify one fault first to then find another fault, especially where PCB's (Printed Circuit Boards) and other control devices are concerned. We call this fix a fault to find a fault. When a spare part has been identified as faulty and that part is later paid for and replaced, if another fault or part is then identified as faulty after fitting, we will quote you for the additional part in the same way. Please note, a part that has been fitted to your appliance is not returnable and non-refundable unless the part is faulty and / or the engineer has mis-diagnosed the initial faulty part. In the event where fix a fault to find a fault applies, the engineer will reasonably demonstrate to you that the original part was faulty and needed replacing.
11.5 Obsolete and parts that are no longer available
If a spare part is listed as obsolete or no longer available by either the appliance manufacturer or our direct authorised suppliers, we will inform you of this and give you an opportunity to source the parts from any independent spare parts distributor or other resources, such as eBay or Amazon, if they happen to have some old stock still available. Should you manage to find the necessary obsolete part, NAC will re-attend at no further cost to fit the parts to your appliance and complete the repair. If we successfully complete a repair where you have sourced your own parts then this repair will be excluded from our Repair Guarantee. If we have advised you that a part is obsolete and you source your own, should that part not fit your appliance, be incorrect or damaged, we may charge a further £55+VAT (£66 including VAT) callout charge. Where parts are listed as obsolete or no longer available by the manufacturer or our direct authorised suppliers, the Service Charge is non-refundable. In instances where a further callout charge is payable in these circumstances, NAC may automatically charge that additional amount to the card that was used by you to pay for the initial Service Charge.
11.6 Spare part prices
Parts that NAC supplies and fits are sourced either from appliance manufacturers directly or via our third party suppliers. Our prices are set by our parts department and all parts are quoted for before you agree to purchase the part from us. Once you have accepted the quote and paid for a spare part order, we do not reimburse any price difference if the same part can be found cheaper online. NAC will never indicate in any way that the price you pay is the cheapest available so we do not offer a price match on spare parts.
11.7 Self-sourced spare parts
NAC will not fit any spare parts you have sourced yourself except in the instance where we have notified you that the part(s) required is obsolete or otherwise no longer available to us from the appliance manufacturer or our third party suppliers. This is because we provide the Repair Guarantee so we need to be sure that we know the origin of the relevant spare part and that we have supplied it.
11.8 Self-fitted spare parts
Our network of engineers are fully experienced in the repair of domestic appliances and spare parts that we supply come from either appliance manufacturers directly or authorised third party distributors meaning that we can guarantee the source and quality of that spare part and the fitting methods and testing we use to fit any parts.
11.9 In the event you decline our spare part quote to purchase your own part independently and fit that part yourself to complete a repair to then find that it has not worked or there are further issues, NAC will no longer proceed with any repair free of charge or as included in the initial Service Charge. NAC may offer to re-attend to inspect the fitting or part itself however there will be a further callout charge of £55+VAT (£66 including VAT) payable. In instances where a further callout charge is payable in these circumstances, NAC may automatically charge that additional amount to the card that was used by you to pay for the initial Service Charge.
11.10 Obscure brands and foreign made but British badged appliances
In instances where we attend a repair and it is determined that parts are required, we will do our utmost to source any spare parts from the appliance manufacturer and our direct authorised suppliers. In instances where appliances are built in foreign factories and therefore do not offer support for spare part availability to the general trade in the UK, we will notify you and ask that you contact the retailer where you bought the appliance with a view to sourcing the part(s) yourself. We will then return at a later date to fit parts that you have been successful in sourcing. If we successfully complete a repair where you have sourced your own parts then this repair is excluded from our Repair Guarantee. If we have advised you that we cannot obtain the parts and you source your own, should that part not fit, be incorrect or damaged, you may be charged an additional callout charge fee of £55+VAT (£66 including VAT). In instances where neither you nor us can identify spare parts needed to complete a repair, the Service Charge is non-refundable.
11.11 Out of stock spare parts
In instances where parts are out of stock with our suppliers so they have been specially ordered, there may be a long delay for these parts. If your repair is affected by parts that are out of stock, you will be advised of the possible delay and given a maximum lead time before agreeing to the continuation of the repair prior to NAC ordering the spare parts needed. All spare part orders need to be paid for prior to NAC placing the part order. As mentioned above in Specifically Ordered Parts, any Specifically Ordered parts we order for you are non-cancellable and non-refundable unless the lead time given to you passes but excludes any part(s) that have been dispatched to us and are in transit. If any spare part exceeds the lead time and you wish to cancel the order, NAC will refund in full the cost of the spare part(s) when a request has been made. We do not refund any Service Charge paid in this instance.
11.12 Where a lead time is specified as unknown or described as an extended period due to supplier uncertainty and/or special factory orders, we can only offer a refund if we are able to cancel the order with our supplier. If our supplier confirms cancellation, we will in turn allow you to cancel the repair and refund the full cost of the spare part(s), but the Service Charge will remain payable and is non-refundable.
11.13 In instances where parts are out of stock at our suppliers, you may source and purchase your own. Should you manage to find any out of stock parts available, NAC will re-attend at no further cost to fit the parts to your appliance and complete the repair. If we successfully complete a repair where you have sourced your own parts then this repair will be excluded from our Repair Guarantee. If we have advised you that a part is out of stock and you source your own, should that part not fit, be incorrect or damaged, you may be charged an additional callout charge of £55+VAT (£66 including VAT). Where parts are listed as out of stock the Service Charge is non-refundable. In instances where a further callout charge is payable in these circumstances, NAC may automatically charge that additional charge to the card that was used by you to pay for the initial Service Charge.
11.14 Spare parts delivery
Where spare parts are ordered directly with NAC, providing that they are in stock, all parts will be dispatched within 24 hours from the point of order.
12. Unable to remove appliances
12.1 It is your responsibility to ensure the appliance is accessible for the engineer's visit. Whilst we will use reasonable endeavours to remove both freestanding and integrated appliances, in instances where an engineer cannot remove an appliance due to the way it has been installed or because there is a risk of causing damage, we may request that you arrange for the appliance to be removed before the repair and refitted after the repair. Where we ask that you remove the appliance, we will re-attend at a later date at no further cost to you to carry on with the repair. In instances where an engineer attends and cannot remove the appliance, our Service Charge remains payable.
13. Working in dangerous or unsafe conditions
13.1 We will not start or continue doing any work in your home or other location where the appliance is fitted if we believe there is a health and safety risk, for example: hazardous chemicals, pest infestations, verbal or physical abuse, or harassment. And we will not return to finish the work until that risk is gone. In instances where an engineer attends and cannot undertake the repair work due to dangerous or unsafe conditions, our Service Charge remains payable.
14. Reporting damage
14.1 Any damage complaint must be made to the engineer while they are on-site. It is your responsibility to ensure that you inspect the surrounding area after an engineer has finished their work. We cannot accept any damage claim that is reported after the engineer has left your premises. This is because customers either:
ask that appliances are left out after a repair for cleaning purposes
move appliances themselves either out or back into situ before or after a repair; and/or
adjust appliance positioning after an engineer has refitted an appliance.
15. Commercial appliances
15.1 We repair domestic appliances only. Domestic appliances are appliances that are generally used at home, i.e. in domestic kitchens and are not used for commercial purposes. It is your responsibility, when contacting us for a repair quotation, or obtaining a repair quotation online, to state the brand of the appliance correctly or if you are unsure of the brand, advise us whether the appliance is domestic or commercial. In instances where we travel to a repair and the appliance is not as described or is discovered to be a commercial appliance, then our Service Charge remains payable.
16. Making changes to or cancelling your repair
16.1 You have the right to cancel your repair within 14 days without giving any reason. The cancellation period will expire after 14 days from the day of the conclusion of the contract. If your appointment is less than 14 days away from the time of booking, you will only be able to cancel up until 9AM on the morning of the visit. If you cancel after 9AM on the day of the visit or if you fail to notify us of your cancellation request, then the Service Charge remains payable and no refund will be due.
16.2 To exercise the right to cancel, you must inform us by calling 0333 016 9622 or emailing us on [email protected].
16.3 To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right to cancel before the cancellation period has expired.
16.4 Your notice to cancel will have been taken to be received as soon as you make contact with us to cancel your appointment, or in the case of email from the date it is sent to us.
17. Paper quotations and invoices
17.1 NAC is a paperless business. All quotations and invoices will be sent free of charge to an email address that you provide. Should you require a paper copy to be sent via Royal Mail, you will need to pay an administration and postage fee of £5+VAT.
18. Refund policy
18.1 Any refund that has been agreed by NAC will be made to the card that you used to make payment to us. Agreed refunds will be processed and issued within 5 working days from the date of refund agreement.
18.2 For payments made via BACS or cash, agreed refunds will be made via BACS so we will need the following information in order to issue the refund:
Bank Account Name (as it appears on the statement)
Bank Account Sort Code
Bank Account Number.
19. NAC-Prime membership - terms & conditions
19.1 These Terms & Conditions apply specifically to the NAC-Prime Membership (Membership), offered by NAC Domestic Appliances Ltd (NAC, we, our, us).
19.2 By purchasing an NAC-Prime Membership, you agree to these terms.
19.3 Nature of the Membership
NAC-Prime is a service membership, offering priority access, discounts, and other service-related benefits.
19.4 NAC-Prime is not an insurance product, warranty, extended warranty, or protection policy, and does not indemnify, cover, or guarantee the cost of repairs, parts, replacements, or consequential losses.
19.5 All repairs, parts, diagnostics and services remain chargeable unless expressly stated otherwise.
19.6 All repairs carried out under the membership are subject to these Terms and Conditions, including sections 1 to 18 and sections 20 to 25, where applicable.
19.7 Membership Term
Membership lasts for 12 months from the date of purchase.
19.8 Membership may be set to automatically renew depending on the payment method selected.
19.9 We will provide renewal reminders in line with UK subscription regulations.
19.10 Cooling-Off Period & Use of Services
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, customers have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of purchase.
19.11 However, if you use any NAC-Prime services or benefits within that 14-day period, including but not limited to:
priority engineer attendance
discounted service rates
free delivery on parts
annual maintenance checks; or
priority telephone access,
you lose the right to cancel and no refund will be due, as the service has already been performed at your request.
19.12 By using any Prime benefit during the cooling-off period, you expressly acknowledge that you waive your statutory cancellation rights as permitted under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
19.13 Services & Availability
NAC-Prime benefits are subject to service availability, engineer capacity and geographical coverage.
19.14 If we are unable to provide NAC-Prime services for any reason, including but not limited to:
lack of engineer availability;
non-covered geographic locations; or
circumstances outside our control,
we reserve the right to cancel the Membership and refund the Membership fee in full.
19.15 Membership benefits have no cash value and cannot be exchanged or transferred.
19.16 Priority Telephone Access
Members may nominate one to three telephone numbers for priority call routing.
19.17 It is the Member's responsibility to notify NAC of the telephone numbers they wish to register.
19.18 Priority routing will only be active once the numbers have been successfully added to our system.
19.19 Eligibility & Household Use
An NAC-Prime Membership applies per household, not per appliance.
19.20 Membership benefits cannot be shared across multiple households, addresses or businesses.
19.21 Fair Usage Policy
Membership provides priority access and discounts, not unlimited call-outs.
19.22 NAC reserves the right to review and restrict membership where usage is deemed excessive, abusive, or inconsistent with normal household needs.
19.23 Member Responsibilities
Members must:
provide accurate contact details and keep them up to date
ensure safe access to appliances for maintenance checks
use the service for genuine domestic household purposes
notify us promptly of any changes that may affect service delivery.
19.24 Pricing & Payment
The Membership fee is payable in advance for 12 months.
19.25 Prices may change on renewal, but we will notify you beforehand.
19.26 Membership fees are non-refundable, except where we cannot provide the service (see Cancellation by NAC).
19.27 Exclusions
Membership does not include:
free repairs
free parts
any replacement appliances
financial compensation for breakdowns or losses.
19.28 NAC-Prime does not affect your statutory rights.
19.29 We may cancel Membership with notice if:
the Member breaches these Terms
the Membership is used fraudulently
service cannot be provided in the Member's area; or
circumstances arise beyond our reasonable control.
19.30 A full refund will be offered where cancellation is due to our inability to provide the service.
20. Events beyond our control
20.1 We are not liable to you if we fail to comply with these terms because of circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
21. Our liability to you
21.1 If we breach these terms or are negligent, we are liable to you for foreseeable loss or damage that you suffer as a result. By foreseeable we mean that, at the time the contract was made, it was either clear that such loss or damage would occur or you and we both knew that it might reasonably occur, as a result of something we did (or failed to do).
21.2 We are not liable to you for any loss or damage that was not foreseeable, any loss or damage not caused by our breach or negligence, or any business loss or damage.
21.3 Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for any death or personal injury caused by our negligence, liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that the law does not allow us to exclude or limit.
22. Your information
22.1 Any personal information that you provide to us will be dealt with in line with our Privacy Policy, which explains what information we collect and hold about you, and how we collect, store, use and share such information.
23. No third party rights
23.1 No one other than us or you has any right to enforce any of these terms.
24. Governing law and jurisdiction
24.1 The laws of England apply to these terms, although if you are resident elsewhere in the UK you will retain the benefit of any mandatory protections given to you by the laws of the region of the UK in which you live.
24.2 Any disputes will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts. This means that you can choose whether to bring a claim in the courts of England or in the courts of the part of the UK in which you live.
25. General terms
25.1 You are not allowed to transfer your rights under these terms to anyone without our prior written consent.
25.2 We may transfer our rights under these terms to another business without your consent, but we will notify you of the transfer and make sure that your rights are not adversely affected as a result.
25.3 If any provision of these terms (or part of any provision) is or becomes illegal, invalid or unenforceable, the legality, validity and enforceability of any other provision of these terms will not be affected.
25.4 If you breach these terms and we take no action, we will still be entitled to use our rights and remedies in any other situation where you breach these terms.
26. Return-to-base repair service
26.1 Return-to-Base Service
For certain appliances, including but not limited to coffee machines and vacuum cleaners/floorcare appliances, NAC may provide a Return-to-Base repair service instead of an engineer attending your property.
Under this service, your appliance will be collected from you and transported to one of our approved Return-to-Base repair facilities for inspection and, where authorised, repair.
The specific collection and return arrangements will be explained to you when you book the service.
The physical inspection and repair may be carried out by an independent specialist Return-to-Base Service Partner acting on behalf of NAC. Your contract for the Return-to-Base repair service remains with NAC and is subject to these Terms & Conditions.
26.2 Service Charge
The Return-to-Base Service Charge covers the initial Return-to-Base service, including:
collection of your appliance;
transportation to the repair facility;
inspection and diagnosis of the appliance; and
the administration associated with providing the Return-to-Base service.
The Service Charge does not include spare parts or any additional repair costs unless we specifically state otherwise.
The Service Charge remains payable even if:
no fault is found;
your appliance is found to be Beyond Repair;
no reasonable repair is available;
the required spare parts are unavailable;
you decide not to proceed with the quoted repair; or
you decide that you no longer want the appliance returned following inspection.
NAC does not offer free collections, free inspections or free estimates unless specifically stated otherwise. The general Service Charge principles set out in section 8 apply where relevant to the Return-to-Base service.
26.3 Collection Arrangements
Following your booking, we will provide a provisional collection date.
Our Return-to-Base repair partner will contact you regarding the collection and will advise you how your appliance should be prepared for collection and transportation.
You are responsible for following the preparation and packaging instructions provided to you.
Where you fail to make the appliance available for collection, or fail to prepare the appliance as reasonably required, the collection may need to be rearranged and an additional charge may become payable where additional courier or collection costs are incurred.
We will make up to two (2) attempts to collect your appliance.
If both collection attempts are unsuccessful due to your unavailability or failure to provide access, a further collection charge of £29, or such other amount as reasonably reflects our additional collection costs at the time, will be payable before any additional collection is arranged.
26.4 Appliance Preparation
You must ensure that the appliance is reasonably prepared for transportation before collection. For example, where applicable:
water reservoirs should be emptied;
coffee grounds, beans and other consumables should be removed;
removable accessories should be secured or packaged as instructed;
vacuum cleaners should be emptied of dust, debris and liquids; and
the appliance should be suitably prepared in accordance with the instructions provided by our Return-to-Base repair partner.
We may refuse collection or repair where an appliance has not been reasonably prepared for safe transportation.
Where an appliance is contaminated, leaking, infested, excessively dirty or otherwise presents a health, safety or transportation risk, we reserve the right to refuse collection, return the appliance without repair, or charge reasonable additional costs where applicable.
26.5 Inspection and Diagnosis
Once your appliance arrives at the Return-to-Base repair facility, it will be inspected and tested.
The repair partner will provide NAC with details of the fault identified and any parts required to complete the repair.
The repair partner will use appropriate testing and professional judgement when diagnosing your appliance.
The identification of one or more required components does not mean that the repair has been authorised or that the repair will automatically proceed.
26.6 Technical Diagnosis
We aim to ensure that all repairs are based on an appropriate diagnosis.
Where more than one possible cause of a fault exists, the repair partner may carry out further testing where reasonably necessary to identify the underlying fault.
Where a repair diagnosis is uncertain, we may advise you of this before proceeding.
Parts will not normally be replaced on a speculative basis simply to eliminate possible causes of a fault.
26.7 Repair Quotations
Where additional parts or repair costs are required, NAC will provide you with a quotation.
You are not required to proceed with the repair. Where you accept the quotation and payment is received, we will authorise the repair to proceed.
Where the required spare parts are no longer available, have been discontinued or cannot reasonably be obtained, we will advise you of this. Where no reasonable repair solution exists, the appliance may be considered Beyond Repair.
26.8 Parts Availability
Parts already in stock
Where the required parts are already held at the approved Return-to-Base repair facility, those parts may be identified as part of the diagnosis. The required components will be included in the repair quotation. The repair will only proceed once the required customer payment and authorisation have been received.
Parts requiring order
Where the required parts are not held at the repair facility, NAC will arrange for the parts to be ordered following customer approval and payment. The repair facility will complete the repair once the required parts have been received. Repair times may vary depending upon manufacturer and supplier availability.
26.9 Beyond Economical Repair
A repair may be considered Beyond Economical Repair (BER) where the appliance can technically be repaired but the cost of doing so may not be considered economically worthwhile.
The Return-to-Base repair partner does not determine whether an appliance is BER. Where a repair is technically possible, NAC will provide the available repair quotation and you will decide whether you wish to proceed.
The decision whether to proceed with a BER repair therefore remains with the customer.
26.10 Beyond Repair
Beyond Repair is different from Beyond Economical Repair. An appliance may be considered Beyond Repair where there is no reasonable repair solution available. Examples may include:
severe structural or physical damage;
damage which makes the appliance unsafe to repair;
irreparable damage to critical components; or
a critical component being permanently unavailable where no reasonable alternative repair exists.
Where an appliance is considered Beyond Repair, NAC will advise you accordingly. The Return-to-Base Service Charge remains payable.
26.11 Repair Authorisation
No chargeable repair will be carried out until the required customer payment and authorisation have been received.
If an additional fault or additional component is identified after a repair has been authorised, NAC may provide a further quotation where additional work is required. The additional repair will not proceed until the required authorisation and payment have been received.
26.12 Repair Declined
If you decide not to proceed with a repair quotation, we will arrange for your appliance to be returned to you.
Your original Service Charge remains payable and will not be refunded simply because you decide not to proceed with the repair.
Where you do not accept the return of the appliance, the uncollected appliance process set out in clauses 26.30 to 26.32 applies.
26.13 No Response to Repair Quotation
Where you neither accept nor reject a repair quotation within 14 days of the quotation being issued, we may arrange for your appliance to be returned to you without completing the repair. We may contact you before doing so using the contact information you provided when booking.
The original Service Charge remains payable. Where the appliance is subsequently not collected or return is refused, the uncollected appliance process set out in clauses 26.30 to 26.32 applies.
26.14 Repair and Testing
Once the repair has been authorised and the required parts are available, the appliance will be repaired by the approved Return-to-Base repair facility.
Following repair, the appliance will be fully tested to ensure that:
the reported fault has been rectified;
relevant functions are operating correctly; and
the appliance is operating safely and, where applicable, to its expected specification.
The appliance will not be returned solely because a replacement component has been fitted. Appropriate testing will be carried out to confirm that the repair has been successful.
26.15 Return of Repaired Appliances
Once the repair has been completed and the appliance has passed the required testing, it will be securely packaged and arranged for return to you using the agreed delivery service.
Return delivery times may vary depending on courier availability, parts availability and the complexity of the repair. We will aim to keep you informed where there is a significant delay.
26.16 Additional Faults
During inspection or repair, additional faults may occasionally be identified which were not apparent from the original fault description.
Where an additional repair is required, NAC may provide a further quotation before carrying out chargeable additional work. The repair partner will not carry out additional chargeable work without the required NAC authorisation.
26.17 Repair Guarantee
Repairs completed through the Return-to-Base service are subject to NAC's Repair Guarantee as set out in section 9, including the exclusions in clauses 9.10 to 9.13, save that:
any recall triage, inspection or assessment under the Repair Guarantee may require the appliance to be collected and returned to the Return-to-Base repair facility for inspection; and
the collection, return, dispute and retention processes set out in this section 26 apply to any Return-to-Base repair guarantee claim.
26.18 Recall / Repeat Repair
If you believe the original repair has not been successful, you must contact NAC before arranging any repair by another company or person.
We may ask you questions about the reported problem and may arrange for the Return-to-Base repair partner to contact you to triage the issue. If the triage indicates that the appliance needs to be inspected again, collection will be arranged.
Following inspection, the reported fault will be assessed to determine whether it is:
a genuine recall relating to the previous repair; or
a new or unrelated fault.
Where the issue is found to be a new or unrelated fault, it may be treated as a new repair and a new Service Charge may become payable. Where you dispute this determination, the disputed charges process set out in clauses 26.27 to 26.29 applies.
Where the issue is found to relate to the original repair, it will be dealt with in accordance with the applicable Repair Guarantee.
26.19 Transit Damage
We take reasonable care to protect appliances during collection and return transportation. You must follow any packaging and preparation instructions provided to you.
Where an appliance is damaged during transportation, we will investigate the circumstances and, where appropriate, liaise with the courier or repair partner to resolve the matter.
NAC will consider whether the damage was caused by your failure to follow the packaging or preparation instructions provided, and may decline to cover damage found to have been caused in this way.
26.20 Accessories and Personal Property
Unless specifically required for diagnosis or repair, you should not send accessories or other items with your appliance.
Where accessories are required for testing, you will be advised accordingly. We cannot accept responsibility for accessories or other items sent with an appliance unnecessarily or without prior instruction.
26.21 Appliance Condition and Contamination
We reserve the right to refuse to collect, transport or repair an appliance where its condition presents an unreasonable health, safety or transportation risk. This may include appliances which are:
excessively contaminated;
infested;
leaking;
excessively wet;
contaminated with hazardous substances; or
otherwise unsafe to handle or transport.
Where possible, we will advise you of the issue and explain the available options. Reasonable additional costs arising from specialist cleaning, handling or disposal may be payable where permitted.
26.22 Electrical Safety
Where applicable, electrical safety testing may be carried out as part of the Return-to-Base repair process.
Where an appliance is found to be electrically unsafe or otherwise presents a safety risk, we may be unable to complete the repair. Where no safe repair solution is available, the appliance may be considered Beyond Repair.
26.23 Personal Information and Appliance Data
Some appliances may contain personal information, user profiles, settings, stored usage information or other data.
Where reasonably possible, you should remove or reset personal information before the appliance is collected.
NAC and our approved repair partners will not be responsible for the loss of personal settings or information arising from normal repair, testing, resetting or replacement of components, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
26.24 Service Timescales
The Return-to-Base repair partner will aim to inspect your appliance and update NAC within one working day of receipt. Repair times thereafter will depend on:
customer approval;
payment;
parts availability;
supplier lead times;
repair complexity; and
courier availability.
We will use reasonable endeavours to progress your repair as quickly as reasonably practicable. Specific repair timescales are estimates only unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing.
26.25 No Third-Party Repair
Where you report a fault following a Return-to-Base repair, you must give NAC a reasonable opportunity to inspect and, where appropriate, rectify the problem.
If another company or person carries out repair work, dismantles the appliance or alters the appliance before NAC has had a reasonable opportunity to assess the reported issue, the Repair Guarantee may be affected or may no longer apply to that issue.
26.26 Customer Property
The appliance remains the property of the customer throughout the Return-to-Base process.
NAC and its approved repair partners will take reasonable care of the appliance whilst it is in their possession or control.
The customer must not send valuables, personal property or unnecessary accessories with the appliance.
26.27 Disputed Charges and Retention of Appliances
Where NAC has provided a repair quotation, additional charge or other properly incurred amount and the customer has not paid the amount properly due, NAC may retain possession of the appliance until the outstanding amount has been paid or the dispute has been resolved. For the purposes of this clause, an appliance held at NAC's approved Return-to-Base repair facility is treated as being in NAC's possession.
NAC will not retain an appliance solely because a customer has raised a genuine dispute about a charge and is engaging with NAC's dispute review process.
26.28 Disputed Charges Review Process
Where a customer wishes to dispute a charge, they must notify NAC in writing (including by email) setting out the reasons for the dispute.
NAC will review the dispute, taking into account the customer's representations and the evidence available from the Return-to-Base repair partner, and will respond in writing within 14 days.
Where NAC's review confirms the charge is properly due, NAC will provide the customer with a written explanation of its findings, including supporting evidence where appropriate.
26.29 Statutory Rights on Disputes
Nothing in clauses 26.27 or 26.28 affects the customer's statutory rights, including the customer's right to pursue a complaint, seek independent advice, or bring a claim through the courts or an approved alternative dispute resolution provider.
26.30 Uncollected Appliances - Notification
Where an appliance is available for return to the customer and the customer has failed to accept return delivery, arrange collection, or provide instructions for return, NAC will notify the customer that the appliance is available.
26.31 Uncollected Appliances - Formal Notice
Where the appliance remains uncollected 30 days after the notification referred to in clause 26.30, NAC will send a formal notice to the customer at the contact details provided when booking. The formal notice will:
confirm that the appliance is uncollected;
give the customer a further 21 days to collect the appliance or provide instructions for its return;
explain what will happen if the customer does not respond; and
confirm that the customer's statutory rights are not affected.
26.32 Uncollected Appliances - Further Steps
Where the customer fails to respond to the formal notice within 21 days, NAC may deal with the appliance in accordance with the Torts (Interference with Goods) Act 1977 or otherwise as permitted by law.
NAC will not sell, dispose of or recycle an appliance without following the procedures set out in clauses 26.30 to 26.32.
26.33 Customer No Longer Requires the Appliance
Where a customer no longer wishes to have their appliance returned, they must confirm this in writing. Verbal instructions alone are not sufficient.
The written confirmation must state that:
the customer no longer wishes the appliance to be returned;
the customer understands that the appliance may have a resale or replacement value and is voluntarily forfeiting any right to have it returned or to receive its value;
the customer authorises NAC to arrange responsible recycling or disposal of the appliance; and
the customer understands that any Service Charge, inspection charge or other properly incurred charge remains payable notwithstanding this decision.
NAC will not authorise recycling or disposal until the written confirmation required by this clause has been received.
26.34 Cancelling a Return-to-Base Booking
You have the right to cancel your Return-to-Base repair within 14 days of the conclusion of the contract without giving any reason, subject to the provisions of this clause.
Where your appliance is scheduled for collection within the 14-day cooling-off period, by requesting that we proceed with the collection during that period you expressly request that the service begin before the end of the cooling-off period and acknowledge that you will lose your right to cancel once the service has been performed at your request.
You may cancel your Return-to-Base booking free of charge at any time before we have booked the collection with our courier or Return-to-Base repair partner.
Where you cancel after we have booked the collection but before the appliance has been collected, a reasonable courier cancellation charge may be payable, reflecting the actual costs incurred by us in arranging the cancelled collection.
Where you cancel after the appliance has been collected, the Service Charge remains payable in accordance with clause 26.2 and the appliance will be arranged for return to you.

26.35 Statutory Rights
Nothing in this section 26 affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
Where applicable, your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, Consumer Contracts Regulations and other relevant legislation continue to apply.
Where there is a conflict between these terms and a mandatory legal right, the relevant legal requirement will prevail.
